She may be a tiny little dog but Half Pint is a survivior. She, along with four other Chihuahua's are lucky to be alive after their former owner made a very deadly and totally ignorant decision. Diagnosed with a breathing disorder, the former owner placed all 8 of his Chihuahua's into an unventilated storage building to live; unfortunately three of them died from the excessive heat that June brings to Georgia. Lucky for Half Pint and four of her companions, the owner decided it was best to surrender them to SoCo Rescue rather than continue making them live in the building

Half Pint not nly had to endure the trauma of the storage building, she was also highly infested with fleas and very unsocialized. It was only after much love and plenty of patience that Half Pint learned to trust humans again and began her long road to recovery.

Half Pint now seems to enjoy the company of people, wanting to just give her love and devotion to those that care for her. She' been fully vetted, including being spayed and tested negative for heart worms. She was deemed "very healthy" after her recent vet visit and is now ready to find a new, loving home.

Because of her tiny size, weighing under 5 lbs, and her past, it would be best if Half Pint is only considerd for a home that doesn't include small children or a lot of commotion. What this little girl needs is a calm, relaxing home so she can continue to progress in her life. She still needs some work on her house and leash training but the love and devotion that she will give will make the efforts well worth it.
