Description:
Jackie was once a stray in the Glenwood, Ga area. She wandered onto the property of a family who eventually contacted Southern Comfort, stating that if we didn't come get her they would simply take her off and leave her somewhere else. Being at capacity at the time, we sought the help of a local foster and were able to eventually get Jackie into our rescue.

During her time with the foster and ever since she came to SoCo Rescue, Jackie has quickly become one of our all time favorite rescues. Her extremely sweet personality and playfulness has warmed our hearts and made the decision to place her for adoption a very tough decision. But we know it's in Jackie's best interest to have a home of her own and we know that she will continue to gain much love from whoever is blessed with her presence.

Jackie has been fully vetted, including getting spayed. She tested negative for heart worms and has been on a monthly preventative since coming into the SoCo Rescue family. Her left eye does appear to have suffered some slight injury at some time but our vet assures us that this isn't causing her any pain nor should it present ay problems in the future. Other than this, Jackie has been given a clean bill of health.

Jackie has done very well with her house and crate training. She does enjoy dog toys but isn't destructive. She loves to curl up in bed with people and exhibits the typical Basset Hound relaxed attitude, often found lounging on our couch or on a dog bed. She does very well around other dogs and new people, but may need a day or so to fully warm up to her new surroundings. Regardless of that, this is one very exceptional girl.
