In June of 2013 at about 1 a.m., SoCo Rescue received a call about a dog that had been struck by a car and was laying in the parking lot of a local concienence store. Scott Bennett immediately went to check on this dog.

When Scott arrived at the store, he found a small black female dog that was definitely hurt and scared. This little dog could still walk, with difficulty, and immediately took off seeking shelter under a parked vehicle. For the next 2 hours, Scott tried to calm and coax this little girl to come to him. She would dart out from under the parked car, only to run underneath another. Eventually Scott was able to lure the little girl to him and was able to see her injures, which one of the attached photos show those injures.

Nadine had deep gashes on her front left leg. The top of her head was flat, hairless and it was evident that this dog had slid across the pavement on her head after being struck by the car. It's a miracle that she even survived. Over the next few months, Nadine underwent extensive care at SoCo Rescue to heal her from her injures.

Nadine has now completely recovered from her near death ordeal. Other than a slight scar on her leg, you couldn't tell that she has suffered the injures. Most important, her physcological stae improved greatly and she has proven to be a very friendly and loving little dog.

Nadine has now been fully vetted, received all of her vaccines and has been deemed completely healthy. She has done very well on her house training and will even sleep inside her crate at night, although she loves to snuggle up with a person in bed.

Nadine will make a great companion for a child old enough to properly treat a small dog as well as an addition to any adult seeking the friendship of a perfect lap dog. She is good with other dogs, both big and small and loves to play with them. This is one very loving little girl.
