Why anyone would ever let this wonderful fellow go is a mystery to us. Macon is such a friendly, playful dog that he'd make a great addition to almost any family.

Macon was a former stray from the central Ga area. He and his canine friend (see Marli's profile) both appeared at a man's business and immediately catured hearts. But the man could not keep them at his business or home, so he turned them over to a foster home in the Soperton, Ga area. Macon and Marli appear to be very bonded, most likely having lived together at the former home.

Macon is a very healthy dog but did test slightly positive for heart worms. Upon the vet's recommendation, Macon will undergo the "Slow Kill" method of treating heart worms, which is to keep him on a monthly preventative. Within 6 months to a year, Macon should be fully clear of any heart worms.

Macon has been neutered and fully vaccinated. He is currently on a monthly flea and heart worm preventative. 

Macon is very friendly with people and other dogs. He is leash trained and rides well in a vehicle. There is evidence that Macon has lived both as an indoor and outdoor dog so house training should not be a problem.
