Derby's mom had been found as a stray in the Dublin, GA area. She was pregnant at the time and delivered her puppies while with the family that found her. Derby's mom looked to be a mix of Lab and Black Mouth Cur. 

Derby has a very pleasant personality and has been well socialized towards people. He's playful, funny and so very cute. He will definitely make a great family companion.

Derby has received all three  of his first year "puppy" vaccines as well as his rabies and bordetella vaccinations.  . He's also been de-wormed and treated against parasites at proper intervals and started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. His adopter must agree to having him neutered once he reaches the age of reproducing (typically 6 months or as directed by their veterinarian*) and providing verification of such to SoCo Rescue. Derby will require all of his basic training.
