The battle to end the homeless and unwanted dog problem that currently overwhelms our area took yet another hit when a pregnant stray was found roaming the streets. With every shelter and rescue already overwhelmed, including SoCo Rescue, this particular expecting mom's future, and that of her coming litter, faced a grave outlook. Luckily, the woman who found the pregnant dog offered to foster her, and the 6 puppies that were born on May 17 if we would help with the vet care and placement of the pups. Ever so thankful for people such as this woman, we gladly agreed to providing what help we could.
The most affectionate of this litter is Trisha. While she is very friendly and playful towards other pups, Trisha would rather cuddle up with her human counterparts and just give you kisses. She will definitely make a great addition into the lives of anyone who desires a pup to love.
As of July 28, Trisha has received 2/3 of her first year "puppy" vaccinations with her last vaccine due on Aug 18. She's also been de-wormed, treated against parasites, received her Rabies and Bordatella vaccinations, started on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. She will come with a microchip too. Her adopter must agree to having Trisha spayed once she reaches 6 months of age and providing SoCo Rescue with verification of such.
