Chance was found as a stray near our former location in Glenwood shortly before we completed the move to our new home in Tarrytown. He was scared, skinny and very hungry. Our plans to have Chance ready for adoption much sooner seemed to always hit a snag, such as experiencing mechanical issues with the bus or Scott being sidelined with kidney stones, which caused us to rely on other transportation options that limited which larger sized dogs could make the trip to New Jersey. Now that his time has come, we know that someone will have the opportunity to add a very good dog to their home. 

Chance has a very friendly, laid back and personable personality and seems to be intent on making friends with everyone he meets. He's also interacted very well with other dogs at our rescue and also enjoys spending time with people. When asked how they'd best describe Chance, our staff all said the same thing: he's one of the friendliest dogs you'll ever meet! There's no doubt that Chance will make an excellent family companion.

Since his arrival, Chance has been kept up to date on his annual vaccinations, de-wormings and monthly preventative care. He's also been neutered and recently tested negative for heartworms. Chance may need a refresher course on his house training, but has shown to have once been house trained.
