Gabby was a stray that was picked up by the Laurens Co. Animal Control sometime in the week of 11/16/2009. At first, the thoughts were that she had a broken leg, so it was decided, by the A/C, she would be euthanized. But upon a closer exam by us, it was determined that she has some sort of nerve damage to her left rear leg, possibly a birth defect. But it does not seem to bother her at all, as she still runs and plays and jumps as if all was OK. If fact, she seems to be doing better now that she's not cooped up and is allowed to have some running room. Gabby is a very playful adult that gets along great with all dogs and humans. And, while very playful, she loves to just lay next to her humans and be very relaxed. Since she is very playful and large, we urge caution (as we do with any dog of any size) when interacting small children with her, as she may unintentionally cause injury to them. Gabby is crate and house trained. While she is not a shy dog, she will roll over and let you rub her belly. Gabby is estimated to be about 2-3 years old. This is one great dog, and if I didn't already have 8 dogs of my own, I'd lay claim to her myself. Don't let the opportunity to have a great, big friend for your own pass you by.
