Vader and his five brothers came to our rescue as owner surrenders from a couple thought to be what we refer to as "backyard breeders", or those that breed and sell dogs without having the proper licensing to do so. The couple was desperate to surrender the pups as they could no longer provide proper care for them, In fact, at almost 8 weeks old, the only care given to the pups at that point was giving them a cheap, dollar store type of de-wormer. A couple of weeks after surrendering the pups to us, the couple tried, in vain, to convince us to return one of the pups (Vader) as they claimed to be "attached" to that puppy. Our refusal to do so was met with anger, accusations and threats to try and discredit SoCo Rescue by the couple, which let us know that we made the right decision concerning the litter.

Vader appears to be the runt of this litter as he is slightly smaller than his brothers. But this pint-sized fellow won't short you on the amount of love, fun and devotion that he'll give you. Vader is very well socialized towards people and simply loves curling up in your lap. He'll make a great companion for anyone looking for an energy-packed, very active small dog.

Vader has now received all of his first year "puppy" vaccinations, including his rabies and Bordetella vaccines. He's also been de-wormed and treated against parasites at proper intervals and started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Vader's adopter must agree to having him neutered once he turns 6 months old and providing verification of such to our rescue. He will require all of his basic training.
