A couple was shocked when they came across a litter of very young puppies that had been left on the side of a very busy road. Five of the pups were huddled up together just a few feet away from two of their siblings that lay dead in the road. They were extremely frightened, most likely having seen and heard their siblings being struck by the passing cars. The couple scooped up the puppies and brought them to our rescue, but for this litter of pups, their struggle to live was not yet over. Within days of arriving to our rescue, the entire litter became deathly sick. Even with giving the pups the very best of care, three of the five succumbed to being heavily loaded with all sorts of worms and parasites. Sadly, only Artemis and his brother Hubble survived the ordeal.

Artemis has since regained his health and is now living the happy life that all puppies should enjoy. He's very friendly and always eager to play with our staff and shows his appreciation for the love and care he's received by showering them with kisses. Artemis has the type of personality that will make him a great addition into almost any home situation that can provide him with proper training.

Artemis has now received all three of his first year "puppy" vaccines, his rabies vaccination, been de-wormed and treated for parasites. He's also been started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. His adopter must agree to having Artemis neutered once he reaches 6 months of age and provide verification of such to our rescue. He will require all of his basic training.
