*** ADOPTION PENDING *** Biggie and who we believe to be his son, Smalls, were both found wandering the rods in a remote section of our county. The young lady who found the pair reported that there were no houses anywhere near where she found the dogs, but check at the closest homes but no one seem to know anything about Biggie or his son. Luckily, we had an open spot at the time and were able to get both dogs into our rescue. Our attempts at locating an owner didn't yield any positive results. You've heard the old saying "His bark is bigger than his bite"? Well that Biggie to a T! He really is just a love bug who enjoys nothing more than the attention he gets from people. He would make an excellent companion for anyone who is middle-aged up to an active senior person. He loves his walks and does need to learn a little more leash training so he doesn't pull as much, but overall, this is a well balanced dog. He may need additional house training as well. Biggie is a bit reactive towards other dogs but then he also will bark defensively at our staff too, but once we lean in to pet him or give him a treat, he turns to putty in our hands. So we think that once out of the shelter environment, Biggie may be very accepting of another dog. We're not sure how he'll do around cats. Biggie has now been neutered, received and update on his annual vaccinations, treated against worms, parasites as well as started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
