We almost thought we were being pranked by someone when we were told that Ewok (I'll explain the name shortly) had been found as a stray. While we thought someone had to be missing him, there were no claims of ownership from our postings of him or those of the animal control of the county where he was found. . We may never know why or how Ewok came to be a stray, but what we do know is we've seen no reason why anyone should want to abandoned him. 

Ewok got his name because he makes a whirling-twittering sound when he gets excited or tells  us he needs to go potty. Our shelter manager, Cindy Jackson, said it reminded her of the ewoks in the Star Wars saga, and since we've not yet been able to have him groomed, he even looks the part. 

But what will draw you to him isn't his movie star resemblance; it'll be his super affectionate personality that does the trick! He longs to be next to his humans, loves having another calm, playful dog to pal around with (he's currently got a thing for Roxy, our little Chinese Crested girl). He has been all tail wags with the male dogs too as long as they don't exhibit any aggressive or overly alpha personalities towards him. He is crate trained, won't go potty overnight and appears to be house trained when having access to an outside area. Let's just say it now, here's that perfect lap dog that you've been searching for!

Ewok has now been neutered, received an update on his annual vaccinations; dewormed and treated against parasites and started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. He also tested negative for heartworms during his recent vet examination.
