Scotty was a stray pup that was living in the woods and inside of a drainage pipe along with his brother (Skylar his mom and another adult female dog. As Scotty and his brother started to grow, they also started to wander into the busy road, putting them at risk of getting hit by a car. A woman who lives in the area had been going by to feed the dogs but was not able to catch them so she put out a plea for help. SoCo Rescue President Scott Bennett joined the kind-hearted woman and one other lady in an attempt to catch the stray dogs. By the end of the day, Scott had to chase the dogs through the woods, in and out of drainage pipes and use some good old fashion trickery but was able to capture Scotty (who was named after him), Skylar and their mom. The fourth dog was caught later that night in a trap that the trio had set. All four dogs have been at a foster home since that time and are now ready for adoption. 

 

Scotty is there social of the two brothers. His rough start in life has caused him to be a little hesitant when first meeting people, but those inhibitions fade away once he realizes that you only want to give him lots of love, devotion and treats, of course! He loves to play and even snuggle up to those who he trusts and will only grow more trusting of people once he has found his ideal home. 

 

Scotty has now been fully vetted, including being neutered, and has also been kept on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. He will most likely require house and leash training, but this seemingly smart dog should learn those traits very quickly.
