Levi has proven to be a friendly, curious and food motivated pup.  He already has learned to sit and it progressing with leash training and house training.  His foster mom says "he is an easy going and friendly with everyone.  With his temperament and fast learning, he may be a good match for first time dog owners.  His coat is a beautiful mix of gray, black and brown and his eyes are a stunning green-gray.  He has been friendly to dogs and kids and no barking at the cat so far."

One of our former animal care technicians became aware of a pregnant female dog whose owners had decided they no longer wanted their dog. The elderly couple simply stopped feeding the dog, turned her loose and then turned a blind eye towards their dog even when they saw that she was suffering from lack of nutrition, putting her life and the lives of her unborn puppies at risk. The technician was able to convinced the couple to officially sign the dog over to her, offered to serve as SoCo's foster  until the pups were weaned and even offered to adopt the mom dog as one of her own. On March 24, 2022, the mom dog delivered 6 healthy pups.

Being the largest of the pups, and the only male in the litter, Levi has assumed the role of alpha among his sisters. But then when his time comes to snuggle up with his human counter parts, Levi is always ready. He's also a quick learner so his house training should come fairly easy.

Levi has been neutered, received his rabies vacination, two of his first year puppy vaccines, been de-wormed on a regular basis and started on his monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. He is scheduled to receive his rabies vaccination and a internal parasite examination.
