Saul is currently in foster in NJ.  Saul made the trip in a car with 3 other dogs and was the perfect passenger!  He befriended the other dogs and was a great traveling companion.  Saul's foster mom reports:  "We are loving having Saul in our home.  He is an easy-going, friendly dog with good manners.  He is house trained and crate trained.  So far he has been disinterested in our cat, easy to walk and friendly to everyone.  Saul would be good as an only dog or as a friend for another dog as his personality is a bit submissive.  He would also good for a new dog owner.  He likes to walk but is not very active in the house, mostly likes to sit wherever we are.  He does like to cuddle and get his belly rubs!  When we go out, he sleeps on the couch or in his crate and when we get home, he is ready to greet us."

As a young man was driving past our former location, he almost struck a dog that had wandered into the road. Thinking that this dog had gotten loose from our rescue, the man brought him to us, but this dog wasn't a SoCo dog at that time. After we were told the dog had been seen wandering around the area looking for food, we decided to take him into our rescue to keep him safe. After being unable to locate his possible owner, "Saul" became a SoCo Rescue dog.

Almost immediately, Saul started to display exactly how friendly and exceptional he was. He quickly made friends with a few other of our dogs and is always eager to meet and make new friends, both human and canine. Saul appears to have received some house training, is crate trained and walks exceptionally well on a leash with minimal pulling. With his ever-present personality, Saul will make a great addition into just about any home, be that with or without children.

Saul has now been neutered, received and update on his year vaccines and de-wormers. Saul does get scared during stormy weather, so you may want to speak your vet concerning which calming pills would be best to give to Saul. He has also been neutered. Despite his house training skills, his adopter may be required to offer Saul additional training.
