Lylah's foster family reports that she is friendly and playful.  She is doing great with housetraining, crate training, basic commands and leash training.  She has been friendly meeting other dogs.  She'll do very well in just about any home situation and would make a great playmate for children who know how to properly treat a pup or companion for another dog.  With her ability to learn new things quickly, her training should come very easy.

Lylah and her siblings came to SoCo Rescue as owner surrenders. When we went to meet and vaccinate the pups, we met an elderly lady who stated the pups were the offsprings of a dog that her son owned. Numerous times as the SoCo team was working with the pups, the senior lady would complain about the pups being in her flower bed, jumping up on her and how she simply wanted them gone. She would also raise her walking cane and try to hit a pup in the head if that pup ventured too close to her as she kept repeating how dogs were God's only mistake. It took a couple of weeks to make room for the 6 pups and get them into a foster home. Surprisingly, the elderly lady began contacting us requesting that we return one pup because she needed a guard dog. Of course, we refused her request and suggested she use her cane!

Lylah has been spayed, received an update on her annual vaccinations, been de-wormed, treated against parasites and started on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. A microchip will accompany her adoption. She will need house and leash training.

To apply for the adoption of Lylah, please submit an application at socorescue.com. You'll be contacted if approved to adopt Lylah.
