Rainey was found as a stray just down the road from SoCo Rescue. The area in which she was found has become a common dumping spot of dogs by people who obviously are trying to keep out of sight from the cameras mounted on the exterior of SoCo Rescue. It just so happen that SoCo Rescue’s shelter director Tina Morgan was headed home after working and saw Rainey crossing the busy road, stopped and kept her from possibly getting struck by a vehicle. After reporting finding Rainey to our sheriff’s department, Tina brought Rainey to our shelter.

Rainey was a little shy at first, being in a new place surrounded by new people sometimes causes that, but quickly became trusting of our staff members. She is a playful yet calm pup who gets along great with other dogs. She loves just laying around on her doggie bed, acting goofy with whoever is her caretaker at the moment and is one of the sweetest pups we’ve ever met. She became paper trained really fast and we expect this very bright girl to quickly master any future training she receives. With her really sweet personality, Rainey will make a great addition in just about any home, even one with young children who know how to properly treat a dog.

Rainey has been spayed, received an update on her annual vaccinations, treated against worms and parasites and started on her monthly preventatives. She will need additional house and leash training. A microchip will accompany her adoption.

If interested in adding Rainey to your home, please submit an application at socorescue.com. If approved to adopt Rainey, a SoCo team member will contact you ASAP.
