We were contacted by a good friend asking if we could help a blind puppy. "Chappy", named after his former owner, apparently had a **seizure as a very young puppy and lost his sight, or at least some of it. After meeting the owner at our vet's office, we took Chappy into our care.

Chappy has had no problems navigating around his kennel, finding his food and water bowls or even keeping up with the pups that he shares a kennel with. In fact, Chappy will make you believe that he has full vision at times with how well he manages. And he's not had any seizures or other problems; he seems to be a very healthy pup. Chappy just loves life and is a very happy fellow.

Now that he is in a loving foster in NJ, we believe he has full vision.  He navigates new environments like a champ.  Maybe the vision problem was just a temporary thing after his seizure.  We will never know but what we do know is that he is a happy and energetic boy. 

Chappy has received 2/3 of his first year "puppy" vaccinations with the final round being due July 5, 2021. He's also been de-wormed, treated against parasites and started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. He will require all of his basic training. Chappy's adopter must agree to having him neutered once he reaches 6 months of age and provide proof of such to our rescue. A microchip will accompany his adoption.
