Winter was found as a stray by a local family after she appeared in their yard and made herself at home. It was easy to see that Winter was in the late stages of pregnancy at that time and soon after arriving at the home, delivered her litter of pups. The family provided love and care for Winter and her pups until such time that we could get them into our rescue.

From the moment she arrived at SoCo Rescue, Winter displayed a very friendly and affectionate personality. She instantly made friends with all of our staff and interacted very well with all of the dogs that she encountered. We're not sure how she'll do around cats but are planning on cat testing her very soon. Winter's great personality makes her an ideal candidate into just about any home

Winter has now been spayed, received an update on all of her yearly vaccinations and de-wormings, started and kept on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. While she initially tested positive for heartworms, she has since been treated for them and is now heartworm free. Winter may need additional house training
