Homer and two of his friends came to us after being surrendered by their former owner, who realized that he had too many dogs. While we're not positive, we were told that Homer may be a mix of Welsh Corgi and Swedish Vallhund.

Homer is a quiet, calm little fellow who enjoyed spending a lot of time with his former owner. While he had full time access to the outdoors, Homer could usually be found sitting next to his owner and just relaxing. Since coming to our rescue, Homer has been very accepting and friendly towards the people he's met. But this little fellow isn't some pushover as he'll bark at strangers when first meeting them (but in reality, Homer is still a mush!) He's not shown any interest in our lone cat and did formerly live with them as well.

Homer has now been neutered, received an update on all of his yearly vaccinations and de-wormings, treated against parasites and started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. He also recently tested negative for heartworms. Homer will most likely need additional house and leash training but should excel with the proper guidance. He also gets along great with other dogs, cats and people.
