Description:

She is being fostered in NJ.

Meet Nayla. A lovely 14 month-old lab mix. She is medium in size with an athletic build, gorgeous glossy coat and eyes that will melt your heart. She is best described as silly, inquisitive, energetic, independent minded, and smart (she picked up “sit” in record time!).

Like most young dogs, she loves to run, chase, and explore. Her latest mission is finding the squirrel that got away.  She still has a lot of  puppy in her as far as curiosity and energy. But, she has been accident-free since her arrival in foster-care and sleeps through the night. She loves being near her people and enjoys rubs – she gets so content that she falls asleep on her back, her arms around yours, nuzzling your finger or toy.

Nayla is ideal for someone that wants an easy dog, has time to exercise her and integrate her into their lives. There is still plenty of opportunity to bond through training as she still has things to learn.

More things to love about Nyla…

She is quiet when inside (but does need exercise).

She enjoys the company of other dogs.

She takes treats very softly.

She gives love nibbles.

She is not much of a barker (at least not yet).

She loves to look out the window to see birds or deer.

She is easy to leash and walks nicely in the yard (she hasn’t ventured out quite yet.)

Did I mention those eyes?

She does not have to be adopted with her brother, Nikko, but if someone was looking for a “ready-made” family, these two get along famously and have quite different personalities.

——————-

Being in an economically depressed area of Georgia, we quite often come across people who simply can't afford to have their pets spayed or neutered, resulting in unwanted litters. Such is the case with Nayla and her siblings, who were surrendered to our rescue by their former owner.

If her current size is any indication, Nayla is going to be a very big girl once fully grown. She's already topping 50 pounds at 5 months of age and growing everyday. She also has a very big personality, full of playfulness and love. Nayla will become a great family companion if given the proper guidance and training.

Nayla has now been spayed, received an update on her yearly vaccinations, de-wormed and treated against parasites. She's also been started on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Her adoption will include a microchip as well. She will require all of her house, leash and other basic training.

If interested in adopting Nayla, please submit an application at socorescue.com (please, no phone calls)
