Being in an economically depressed area of Georgia, we quite often come across people who simply can't afford to have their pets spayed or neutered, resulting in unwanted litters. Such is the case with Nikko and his siblings, who were surrendered to our rescue by their former owner. 

The first thing we noticed about Nikko was his enormous size for a puppy his age. At 5 months of age, Nikko is already in excess of 55 pounds and still has some growing to do! But as big as he is, Nikko is just a little pup trapped inside the body of a gentle giant. When he first arrived, Nikko and his siblings were scared, confused and acted defensively towards our staff. But with just a couple of days, Nikko developed trust in our staff and returned to being the playful, friendly pup that his former owners knew him as. We have no doubt that Nikko will make a great companion and excel in life if provided the proper training by his new family.

Nikko has now been neutered, received an update on his yearly vaccinations, de-wormed and treated against parasites. He's also been started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. His adoption will include a microchip as well. He will require all of his house, leash and other basic training.
