**ADOPTION PENDING- Max is in a loving foster home in Pennington, NJ. He loves being back in a home, especially taking naps on a dog bed and on the couch.  He enjoys going for  walks and hanging with his foster family.  He loves the water too!!  He would make someone a wonderful companion!!

Max and his companion, Buttercup, where in need of rescue after their owner passed away suddenly. A friend of SoCo Rescue informed us of Max's situation and we were more than willing to help.

Max has been an extremely friendly fellow and quickly became friends with all of our staff. His transition from having a home to becoming a rescue dog was nearly flawless and he's continued to impress with his how playful he is. Max has interacted very well with most other dogs, especially those that enjoy a persistent type of playing. We would recommend a meet-and-greet with any dog(s) that he'd share the home with. Max also has his calm side, which displays his desire to just relax and enjoy a belly rub. Max should do well in a home with children who are old enough to play with a large dog.

In addition to being neutered, Max has received an update on all of his yearly vaccinations, been de-wormed and treated against parasites annually, kept on his monthly preventatives (flea/tick and heartworm) and recently tested negative for heartworms. While Max has house training experience, his adopter must be prepared to offer additional training. A microchip will accompany his adoption.
