**ADOPTION PENDING**

Sadly Jaadu needs to be rehomed.  His current family has really tried but since this is their 1st dog, they are not experienced enough to handle his strong personality.  Let’s do what is right for both Jaadu & the family.

Here is what they wrote about him…Jaadu is a very loving, handsome, smart, energetic, and alert dog. He is house trained and knows most of the basic commands. He is very smart.  He is 1 year old, weighs 29 pounds and a very low shedder. 

He has deep protective instincts and is very territorial when it comes to his family and space. He gets very anxious around strangers, specifically small children. He is mostly good with other dogs and has been having regular play dates with some of the neighborhood dogs.  He is very possessive of the family members and gets extremely jealous when we try to pet or feed the other dogs.

Jaadu doesn’t seem to be a good fit for first time dog owners. We feel that Jaadu will do better in a family with some previous dog experience. Preferably with no small children. He has exhibited some separation anxiety and might do well with someone who stays at or around home mostly.

Jaadu was evaluated by our wonderful trainer, Pam from Doing Right By Rescues (www.DoingRightByRescues.org) and she agrees with rehoming him.  With the right family, he will be an excellent dog!

Rescue story - While taking her trash to a local dumpster site, a woman noticed a female dog and her four puppies scrounging for food. When she tried to approach the dogs they quickly ran into a drain pipe, which is where this family of dogs were apparently living. The woman could tell that the mom and pups had been there for a while and all seemed very scared of people. After a couple of failed attempts at trying to lure the dogs to her, the woman was able to catch all five dogs with the aid of a couple of dog traps and brought them to our rescue.
