Jitterbug is currently being fostered in the Pennington, NJ area.  Her foster parents are just loving her & are really teaching her how to be her best.  She is a super fun girl that loves life!**

When the SoCo Rescue staff arrived to work one June morning, they were greeted by a small stray dog who was running loose at the home of Scott Bennett. At first, the staff thought this dog to be a puppy because of her size but once she was caught it was evident that this girl was an adult dog. Most likely someone simply abandoned this little dog at our rescue and she probably made her way next door to Scott's house seeking shelter. 

"Jitterbug" quickly let the staff know that she appreciated their help by showering them with kisses and displaying a very friendly personality. She's very socialized towards people, has interacted very well with other dogs at our rescue and has a lot of energy to burn. She would be the perfect companion for anyone looking for a small, active dog to include on activities such as running, hiking or other such adventures. 

Since her arrival, Jitterbug has been spay and has received an update on all of her vaccines and other such vet care. Her initial vet examination revealed Jitterbug to be positive for heartworms and she has since been treated for them. While Jitterbug does display signs of having been an indoor dog, we're not positive she may need additional house training. We're not positive of her breed but think she may be a Feist mix.
