***Adoption Pending***

Keena and her two sisters came to our rescue as owner surrenders and yet another "unwanted" litter of pups from someone who didn't take responsibility to have their adult dog altered. The trio displayed very apprehensive personalities, most likely due to improper socialization being provided to them. 

Being simply adorable may draw a lot of interest from people who are willing to adopt Keena, but interested parties must be experienced with a timid dog. Keena has made much progress since her arrival but will need time and understanding before she become the "perfect" lap dog. She's never shown any aggression towards people, other than barking at them, and has recently started letting us pick her up. Given a little time, we fully expect Keena to become very attached to whoever is lucky enough to adopt this wonderful girl. 

Keena has now been fully vetted, kept on her monthly preventatives and received a clean bill of health during her vet examination. She will most likely need housetraining, which is sometimes harder to accomplish with the Chihuahua breed, so her adopter must be willing to provide the time and effort needed to accomplish the training.
