***Adopted***

Kacey and her two sisters came to our rescue as owner surrenders and yet another "unwanted" litter of pups from someone who didn't take responsibility to have their adult dog altered. The trio displayed very apprehensive personalities, most likely due to improper socialization being provided to them. 

Kacey, the smallest, has a very cute white mask on her face. She has made great strides in becoming accepting of people, has not shown any aggression and is slowly discovering that people could be a good thing in her life. While she simply loves belly rubs, Kacey still isn't fond of being picked up. Although she's still somewhat timid, we are confident that Kacey will become accepting of her adopter if given time and understanding. Because she is a bit timid, we recommend a home without small/young children and one that has a calm atmosphere. Having another small, playful dog to socialize with would also be a benefit to Kacey.

Kacey has now been fully vetted, kept on her monthly preventatives and tested negative for heartworms during her recent vet examination. She will most likely need housetraining, which is sometimes harder to accomplish with the Chihuahua breed, so her adopter must be willing to provide the time and effort needed to accomplish the training.
