***Adoption Pending***

Tony, his siblings and quite possibly his mother were among the dogs that were surrendered by their former owner. While at their former home, Tony and all the other dogs simply roamed freely, didn't receive proper socialization and weren't properly vaccinated. It was also clear to see that most were very thin, which was most likely due to very limited feedings and improper proportions when they were fed. Ironically, we had plans to take these dogs in when the pups were much younger, but lost contact with the owner until the pups were almost a year old.  With their lack of proper human interaction as pups, Tony and company were all very hesitant of our offers of friendship when we first met them. 

Tony has decided that he really does like people, especially those that like to play with him. Still, he can be a little hesitant at first but displays a true desire to become friends. Tony is very affectionate and fun! With additional training and a little patience, Tony will make a great family companion.

Tony has been fully vetted and kept on his monthly preventatives since his arrival. He also tested negative for heartworms during his recent vet examination. While there were cats at the former home, we're not positive how Tony will coexist with them. Tony will most likely need additional house training.
