**Adoption Pending**

Lance just needed a break. Just one break, one moment of compassion and he'd be able to continue living. Stuck in a local animal control, Lance was facing euthanasia but had heard that the county's humane society would save friendly fellows such as he was so he felt pretty good about his chances of survival. But after the "pull" date had come and gone, Lance found himself still trapped in his prison and on death row. It seems, despite his wonderful personality and playfulness, he was passed over due to a few patches of missing fur on his body. Lance began to worry!

But then something wonderfully unexpected happened for Lance when SoCo Rescue got wind of his perdicament and agreed to pull him. Once Lance was in their care, the SoCo team administered a fully regiment of vaccinations, de-wormers and monthly preventatives, which included a Bravecto flea/tick pill that easily remedied his skin and fur issues. Today, a little over a month later, Lance proudly sports a full coat of fur with just a little thinning left on his neck. Lance has also been neutered and recently tested negative for heartworms!

Lance is in need of some basic training, but this smart, eager-to-learn fellow should more than master any needed training. Lance does get along with other dogs but a "meet-and-greet" with any other dogs that he'll share the home with is advised. We're not sure how Lance will be with cats.
