Lewis and another dog came to our rescue as strays after they both took up residence at a Glenwood home. The pair could also be found roaming all over town exploring every empty building and abandoned house as if they were searching for their new home. It was because of their exploration of the area that the pair gained the names of Lewis and Clark.

Lewis is a very friendly fellow who is quick to show his love of people. He's also gotten along great with other dogs at our rescue and drawing the friendship of those other dogs as well. Despite his smaller size, Lewis isn't a pushover, rather taking a non-aggressive dominate role when in mixed company of female and other male dogs. He loves going on walks as much as he loves snuggling up with whoever has an open lap. Lewis has also been around children and preformed very well with them.

Lewis has now been neutered, received an update on all of his yearly vaccinations and dewormings as well as started on his monthly preventatives. He also tested negative for heartworms during his recent vet examination. Lewis may need additional house training.
