***Missy is in a loving foster home in Pennington, NJ.  They are really enjoying her, she's very playful but loves to snuggle too**

It’s not often when we take in a stray dog that we’re able to find the owner of that dog. Too many people in our area either never search for their missing dogs or they just don’t care to be reunited with them. But after Missy was found as a stray and shared as a “Found Dog” on our social media pages, we were able to locate and speak with her owner. The owner explained how he had to leave Missy with his ex-girlfriend when they recently parted ways and while he searched for a new place to live. This man went on to tell me of his love of Missy and how he wanted only what was best for her, which led to his decision to allow us the opportunity to find her a new home.

Missy is a very well-mannered, gentle girl and very well socialized towards people. She’s always eager to meet new people, exhibits no fear or aggression towards them and is always open to being petted. She pulls hard on a leash but with training and the right equipment she would learn fast.  She is doing great with house training abilities. Missy rides well in a vehicle and is also crate trained. She’s interacted and played very well with other dogs but seems to get along better with calmer, less-hyper dogs; a met and greet with any other dogs she’ll share the home with is recommended. We’re not sure how Missy will react if living with cats.

Missy is definately a Husky, she loves being with her people, so she would do best with someone that is home a lot during the day.  She also would do best if there is another dog in the house.  She will melt your heart when you meet her, she just needs someone that will give her the stability, training and exercise that is needed.

Missy has been spayed, received an update on all of her yearly vaccinations, started and kept on her monthly preventatives and recently tested negative for heartworms. She may need additional house and leash training and time to adjust once in a new home but we expect this beautiful girl to excel once she settles in. As with most Husky breeds, Missy does not do very well in hotter climate.
