Here is what they wrote about him.

George is five months old and weighs about thirty-five pounds. We’ve heard him called a sweet puppy, handsome and confident. Beside bouts of puppy playfulness, we see a calm side of him especially when he is just enjoying being outside. He loves all people & other dogs.

He is crate trained & almost house trained.  He is in the Pennington, NJ area.

Scratch, his mom (Scarlett) and his two siblings came to our rescue after their former owner surrendered them to us. The owner was financially and mentally unable to provide proper care for the pups but wanted to keep one pup because he had "grown attached" to the pup. Luckily, we were able to convince the owner that it was in the best interest to let all of the pups go with us, especially after a fourth pup had suddenly passed away after receiving a bump on it's head and the owner had no way to get the pup to a vet for examination.

Scratch has a well-balanced personality: he's very affectionate and playful, making new friends very easily but he's also very calm and laid-back. He's also displayed signs of being very smart, which should make his basic training much easier to accomplish. Scratch also gets along very well with the other pups at SoCo Rescue and enjoys his playtime with them.

Scratch has received 2/3 of his first year "puppy" vaccinations, his rabies and bordetella vaccines, been de-wormed and treated against parasites. He's also been started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives and has received a clean bill of health from our vet's office. His adopter must agree to having Scratch neutered once he reaches six months of age and provide proof of such to our rescue. Scratch will also need all of his basic training.
