**Adoption Pending**

TJ was found as a stray by one of our foster families in Georgia. Even with an exhaustive search for his possible owner being conducted by both the fostering couple and that county's animal control, no one claimed TJ as their dog. When asked if we could help find this cute little fellow a new home, we gladly accepted the offer to help.

As is typical of most Chihuahuas, TJ can be a little nervous and exhibits some fear of people when first meeting them. But given a few minutes to become familiar with them and TJ turns into a loving, very affectionate companion. He's playful, loves to snuggle and typically does very well with other dogs but a slow "meet-and-greet" is in order to give TJ time to get to know the other dog. (Note: when he came to SoCo Rescue, he immediately became accepting of a Dachshund that he is currently kenneled with.) His ideal home should be one with a calm atmosphere and with no young children.  Despite his typical Chihuahua tendencies, TJ will make someone a great companion.

TJ has been fully vetted, recently tested negative for heartworms, been de-wormed, started and kept on his monthly preventatives. He may require additional house training. He does walk very well on a leash and loves going on walks.
