** ADOPTED !**

Update - Her foster mom writes....Charlene (who now answers to Zina) is a lively, playful, adorable young lady. She is friendly and sweet to people she meets on walks. She came to us with strong protective behavior towards other dogs and strangers entering the house but she has been working hard on obedience and is now much more disciplined as a result. Still, she will be best suited for a person who can continue to show her both affection and command, someone with assertive personality who can love her while being consistently firm. Her foster will show you simple routines that work with this wonderful dog.

She would do best as the only dog and no small kids.

Charlene came to our rescue as an owner surrender after she and a few other dogs were surrendered by their former owner who had to move and couldn't take any of her dogs with her. Charlene and the others were dubbed as the "Dublin 11" when they came to us in August of 2019.

Charlene has that "instant friends" type of personality when she meets new people. She may bark at strangers but she's really very friendly to anyone willing to give her a belly rub or pat on the head. She's not good with other dogs, something we'd hope to change, so a home without other dogs is a must. She loves to run, play fetch and just enjoy her time outdoors so a home with a fenced yard where she can get the exercise she needs is also best for her. Charlene spent most of her life living on a chain so she made need a little house training. She did spend a little time at a foster home, doing very well with her house training skills while there.

Charlene has now been fully vetted and tested negative for heartworms recently. We've kept her on her monthly preventatives since she came to us and recently had all of her yearly vaccines renewed.

Please submit an application at socorescue.com if interested in offering Charlene a new home.
