**Adoption Pending**
While driving home one rainy evening, a couple came across three young pups standing in the middle of the road. The trio of Plott Hound brothers looked lost and confused as they were apparently searching for food and shelter from the rain. Being that they were found in a remote area with no houses nearby, we can only assume that the brothers were deliberately abandoned by someone.

The couple took the brothers home and nursed them back to health. After a search for their owner yielded no positive results, the couple attempted to find new homes for the boys. While one of the pups was offered a new home (but later returned), the couple asked SoCo Rescue for help in finding the remaining two brothers a new home. Paulie, profiled here, and Paddy came to us first and were placed into a wonderful foster home with the third brother, Percy, coming to us a week later after his adoption fell through. He, too, was placed into a great foster home.

Paulie is a very friendly, playful fellow who is always eager to meet new people and has interacted very well with hos foster's others dogs. He thoroughly enjoys running and playing in the big, open field at his foster home and always seems to have his nose to the ground, typical of his breed's natural desire to hunt or track.

Plott Hounds are a working breed and need plenty of room to run and exercise as well. Plott Hounds are a working breed and need a "job" to do in order for them to properly develop and not get bored. They also have that typical hound  bellow so a home without neighbors to disturb would also be best. Still Plott Hounds make excellent family companions as they are also naturally friendly and smart.

Paulie has received an update on his vaccines, de-wormed, treated against parasites and started on his monthly preventatives. He's also been neutered and even tested negative for heartworms, receiving a "clean bill of health" from our vet's office. A microchip will accompany his adoption. Paulie will most likely need house training as well.
