***Koko is in a loving foster home in Pennington, NJ.  They are working with her because she hasn’t learned to trust people.  She lives other animals, dogs & cats too.  She would do best in a home with another young dog to play with & learn from.  A fenced in yard is a must!**

Koko and her siblings came to our rescue as owner surrenders. When they first arrived, they were very unsure of how to act around people, being a bit timid due to the lack of human interaction with their former owner. The owner once bred "squirrel" dogs, what the locals call the Jack Russell breed of dogs, but these four are definitely a mix and were "useless" to him as they would not hunt. 

Being the largest puppy among a litter doesn't always mean you're the bravest or the leader. Such is the case with Koko, who is very timid around people. She seems to do very well around other dogs, taking the submissive role with them. Despite her hesistation towards people, we believe once she's in a home, Koko will shed some of her mistrust of people and become attached to at least one of her new owners. Koko has never shown any aggressive behavior towards our anyone and just needs a little extra love to reach her potential.

Koko has been spayed, de-wormed, treated against parasites and started on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. We started administering her "puppy" vaccines and will have received 2/3 of them by the time she is adopted. A microchip will accompany her adoption as well.
