Kobi and his siblings came to our rescue as owner surrenders. When they first arrived, they were very unsure of how to act around people, being a bit timid due to the lack of human interaction with their former owner. The owner once bred "squirrel" dogs, what the locals call the 

Jack Russell breed of dogs, but these four are definitely a mix and were "useless" to him as they would not hunt. After being with us for a few weeks now, Kobi has learned to trust in people and shows no fear of them.

The first thing we noticed about Kobi is that he wanted to be friends with us. He was usually the first one coming up to meet the staff and eagerly led the others into accepting our friendship. Kobi remains just as friendly, affectionate and happy. Early on we also discovered that Kobi suffers from limited or no eye sight; Kobi may be totally blind. Maybe that's why he's so affectionate as he has to be trusting of someone in order to survive in a dark and sightless world. But his lack of vision doesn't take away from his enjoyment of life at all

Kobi has been neutered, de-wormed, treated against parasites and started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. We started administering his "puppy" vaccines and will have received 2/3 of them by the time he is adopted. A microchip will accompany his adoption as well.
