***Sansa is currently located in the Pennington, NJ area and only available for adoption in that area.***

SoCo Rescue had received a call from a young lady asking for help with a litter of newborn pups. We were told that the mom to the pups was unable to nurse and that if she did, it would put her life in jeopardy. We gladly offered help but ended up having to seek help from law enforcement to get the pups. Once our representative was on site and saw the horrid conditions in which these pups, and many other dogs at the same location, were receiving, she immediately contacted the sheriff's department for assistance. The pups were only being fed twice a day by the owner when they should have received feedings every two hours. This explains why the pups were so malnourished and thin when they first came to us. And while the owner knew we were on the way to get the pups, gave two of them away to someone who also lived at the same trailer park. The officer gave the owner an option: surrender all the pups to SoCo immediately or face criminal charges. Unfortunately the runt of this litter didn't survive her ordeal and passed away shortly after coming to our rescue.

Being the only female of the litter must be why Sansa is the sweetest of her siblings. Even during her bottle feedings, Sansa displayed a love and trust in people and quickly became attached to our staff who provided care for her. We expect that Sansa will also be accepting and loving towards her new family once adopted. You can't go wrong by adopting this precious little pup

Sansa has now received 2/3 of her first year "puppy" vaccines, been de-wormed and treated against parasites. Her adopter must agree to having her spay once she reaches 6 months of age and supply proof of such to our rescue.
