**Nancy will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills, in Pennington, NJ, over the July 7-9 weekend.**

On May 26, 2017, workers gathering pine straw in the woods came across a litter of 6 very young pups who were all huddled up together. Thinking the mom to these pups was close by, the workers decided to just wait and see if she returned to her pups. But after a few hours, no other dog appeared, making it evident that these pups were most likely abandoned in the woods.

By the time we got to the pups, who were maybe a month old at the time it was evident that the pups were severely dehydrated. One pup looked to be in pretty bad shape and unfortunately, passed away an hour after we rescued them. We've come to refer to this litter of pups as the Pine Straw Pups. Nancy came from this litter of pups.

Nancy has a great personality. She's quick to adjust to new things and loves to give as well as receive affection. She will make a great family pet. We're not positive but think she's a Shepherd mix who'll grow to be a medium to large dog.

Nancy's adopter must agree to having her spay by the time she reaches 6 months of age and providing SoCo Rescue with proof of such.
