Other Pictures of Josh (click to see larger version):***Josh is currently located at our rescue in Georgia. He may also be available at our upcoming adoption event in Ringoes, New Jersey over the Sept 16-17 weekend. Applications for his adoption should be submitted at socorescue.com (or click on this link: https://www.socorescue.com/forms/form?formid=1628). Questions about Josh and/or our adoption policy should be sent to socorescue8@gmail.com (please do not call the shelter)*** In March 2023, Josh found himself impounded in the Macon, GA animal control after being picked up as a stray. While the Macon shelter does all they can to place the dogs in their care into homes, sometimes a particular dog may end up facing euthanasia once it's "time" is up. Such was the case with Josh when we agreed to have him transferred to SoCo Rescue so we could find him a new home. Since coming to SoCo, Josh has been nothing short of wonderful. He is extremely friendly towards people and other dogs, loves to play and has a very affectionate personality. We simply can't seem to find any negative traits about him. He will make a great companion for an individual or family who is looking to add a dog into their home. He also seems to love playing in the kiddie pool that we have for our dogs. Josh has received an update on all of his annual vaccinations, been treated against parasites and worms, neutered and started and kept on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Josh walks very well on a leash but does need additional training to correct his occasional jumping up on people. He'll also need some house training, but since he also appears to be a quick learner, we think he will master any training very quickly.
