Beau is currently at our Rescue in GA & will be transported on our Freedom Ride to NJ. Our next Adoption Event is 4/1 & 4/2 at Tractor Supply in Ringoes, NJ. If interested in adopting, please fillout our application at www.SoCoRescue.com (no need to login).
Beau was only about 3-4 months old when he, his sister, Sandy and their mom were found as strays at a home in the Glenwood area in June of 2022. SoCo Rescue was asked to help this family of dogs, completely full and unable to get them into our rescue, but was able to find a foster home for them to stay at. While we had hoped to have Beau available for adoption much sooner, circumstances beyond our control prohibited us from doing so. Our wonderful foster was very patient and allowed Beau, Sandy and their mom to stay at her home and provided them with love and care until we were able to to get them ready for adoption. Beau and Sandy were recently moved to SoCo Rescue so we could get to know them better and their mom is still at the foster home as she was diagnosed with heartworms and will be made available for adoption once she has been treated for heartworms.
Beau is a very friendly, yet somewhat shy, fellow. He loves playing with other dogs and eager to make friends with the people he meets. While he is a little timid at first, Beau quickly warms up to the new people he meets. He is currently learning all sorts of new things, like his leash training, and making great progress. His ideal new home would include having another dog to pal around with but would also do very well as an only dog in a home that will allow him a little time to become fully trusting of them. He should do very well with children who know how to properly treat a dog. He also loves having a yard to run and play in and quickly learned how to use a doggie door.
Beau has now been neutered, kept up to date on his annual vaccinations, monthly preventatives and regular de-wormings. He's a very healthy, happy fellow who simply needs a home that will provide him with the love that he needs.
