Description:
At only 5 lbs, Pepper was made to live in conditions that could have been fatal to her. In fact, those same conditions were deadly for three of her little friends. During a very hot June in Georgia, Pepper and 7 other Chihuahua's were placed inside an unventilted storage building by their owner after he ws diagnosed with a breathing disorder. Only Pepper and 4 others survived the ordeal.

When Pepper first came to SoCo, she was so badly infested with fleas that most of her fur was missing. We could clearly see thousands of fleas crawling all over her and could tell she was in agony. Whe she was first bathed, blood from the multitude of bites she had endured just flowed off of her.

Pepper has now recovered from both the storage building nightmare and flea infestation. She's regain most of her hair and is flea free. The results: a much happier little dog!

Pepper will do best in a home with older children and less commotion. She'd make a great companion for a retired/elderly person or in a home with adults.
