When this handsome fellow was found running the streets of Savannah, Ga, he was very thin and seemed down on his luck. With no home and starving, his mood seemed to be very blue. Included in his profile pictures you can see what he looked like when we found him.

But after he came to SoCo Rescue, Blue regained his zest for life. Given a proper diet, needed vet care and getting much love, Blue quickly got a smile on his face and a playful step in his walk. His road to recovery took a while but he is now enjoying a very healthy life.

Blue is very friendly to people and other dogs, but didn't do well on a recent cat test. He does seem to be somewhat submissive with other dogs, enjoying playing much more than trying to be dominate. When he first came to SoCo Rescue, Savannah Blue would playfully nip a little when wanted to play, but not in a hurtful manner. We have been working on correcting this bad habit and he has all but stopped doing this. Because he still playfully nips from time to time, we recommend a home with no small children.

Blue has had some house training but has been kept in an outdoor kennel so a refresher course may be needed. He has been neutered, is up to date on all of his vaccines and will be micro-chipped prior to his adoption. He is also heart worm free and has been on a monthly heart worm preventative.
