Welcome to SoCo Rescue!
Southern Comfort Animal Rescue, Inc. is 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that rescues and rehomes abused, unwanted and abandoned companion animals. Read more about us.
We primarily house dogs of all breeds, shapes and sizes, but we occassionally offer cats for adoption. See our list of available animals.
We are located in rural Georgia, but adopt to families all over the country. If a good home can be found for one of our dogs, we'll find a way to get the dog to that home. All potential adopters are required to complete an adoption application prior to adopting any of our animal. Read more about the adoption process.
SoCo Rescue also assists private pet owners who wish to re-home their pets. There are no adoption fees associated with these "courtesy listings" as we do not support the selling of pets. SoCo can assist with obtaining discounted vet services that a courtesy listing pet may need, including spay/neuter. Adopters will be asked to pay the vet directly for these services. SoCo seeks no money for these animals, we only want to help find homes for those in need.
While we strive to verify that the information provided to us is accurate, SoCo can not be held responsible for the health or disposition of a courtesy listing pet. We advise interested parties always ask for vet records or have the animal thoroughly evaluated by a licensed veterinarian prior to the adoption.
